170 Children’s Books
During my time at Mighty Media I worked on over 170 children’s books, most of which were nonfiction/educational and produced as a series of 6 books. The work involved for each series included writing, producing and photographing projects (staged for instructional books), art direction, creating unique layouts with fun typography and design, making up to three rounds of edits and then prepping the books for printing and final production.
Cupcakes & Muffins series
This series was a fun (and dangerous!) project to work on. We had an average of 9 recipes per book and all of them were delicious. I decided to use decorative art paper to keep the design flexible and work with the colors in the cupcake liners since there were a lot of colorful designs. I mixed the photography with a sketchy, illustrative design to keep it dynamic and interesting. Please try these at home!
